The new Intel Core i7 is a quad-core CPU that executes 8 threads in parallel, with the help of hyperthreading.
To put it shortly, the Core i7 is amazing, offering nearly the performance-level of bi-Xeon (2×4 cores) in the prosumer-level, and twice (2X) the performance of the best AMD quad-core processors while consuming less power!
I could not wait to have a bi-core (4 threads) or even quad-core (8-threads) Core i7 on the iMac that will offer the performance level of current MacPro

The new 24in display from Apple is not only gorgeous, complete, including iSight camera and mic along with an USB HUB, a power adaptator for MacBook (old or new), but also eco-friendly…

The new Apple Cinema Display 24in
Steve jobs present it as eco-friendly because of the LED lights, and avoidance of any eco-dangerous substance. But it’s not the full story.
The point that makes me happy is that it is power-saver too, consuming less than 1W when in sleep mode and less than 130W while used as a display. It is well under the average power consumption of the 24″ displays, and it will save you money from the day one, on your electricity bill.
